The Nathan Sterling Initiative was founded in memory of Nathan Alexander Sterling, whose life and death stand as a lasting reminder of the profound psychological and emotional harm that can arise when a child is drawn into adult conflict and turned against a loving parent.

Our lived experience exposed the devastating consequences of a system that too often fails to recognise, name and intervene when destructive parental behaviors are harming a child.
Legal, educational, social-care and mental-health systems must do better
Children should never be pressured to hate, fear, reject or erase a safe and loving parent.
They should not be made to carry adult grievances, repeat adult narratives or suffer the emotional burden of divided loyalty.
We exist to challenge silence, raise awareness and advocate for stronger recognition of alienating behaviours as a from of psychological and emotional harm.
